Purpose
These Terms of Service govern access to and use of the OstadTools platform (https://www.ostadtools.com), published by OstadTools. OstadTools offers teachers online tools: grading checkbox tests with a phone camera, multiple-choice test generation, class management, results, reports and Massar-compatible exports.
By creating an account you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the platform.
Teacher account
- The account is personal. You provide accurate information (name, e-mail, school) and keep your password confidential.
- An account may need to be approved by the OstadTools team before it is activated.
- You are responsible for actions performed with your account. Tell us immediately about any unauthorised use.
- Sign-in with Google is available; it only uses your name, e-mail address and Google account identifier.
Your students' data
You import and enter student data (name, Massar code, class, answers, marks, photos of test papers) as part of your teaching duties. You agree to:
- use the platform only to assess and follow up your own students;
- respect the rules of your school and of the education authorities, and law No. 09-08;
- not import data unrelated to this purpose (health, religion, etc.).
OstadTools processes this data on your behalf only, as described in the privacy policy. A teacher never has access to another teacher's students, tests or results.
Acceptable use
It is forbidden to:
- use the platform for illegal, fraudulent or unethical purposes;
- try to access other users' accounts or data, bypass security measures or disrupt the service;
- scrape the website's content automatically or resell access to the platform;
- post insulting, defamatory or unsolicited advertising content on the forum, or content that infringes the rights of others.
The team may hide forum content or suspend an account in case of breach, after a warning except in urgent cases.
Automatic grading results
Checkbox detection is an aid: it flags uncertain answers, which must be checked before saving. The teacher remains solely responsible for the marks given, validation decisions and data sent to Massar. Check the results before any official use.
Subscriptions
Access to some tools may depend on a pack. Terms (price, duration, payment, renewal) are described in the subscription and payment terms. In free mode, all active tools are open without payment.
Availability
We do our best to keep the platform available and backed up every day, without being able to guarantee permanent availability (maintenance, outages, internet connection). We may change the tools; an essential feature will not be removed without informing the users concerned beforehand.
Liability
OstadTools is not liable for indirect damage (data loss due to misuse, interruptions caused by the user's network, input errors). Remember to export your results regularly.
Ownership
You remain the owner of your content (tests, answer keys, classes). You grant OstadTools the right to host and process it only to provide the service to you. Content you post on the public forum is visible to all visitors.
Closing the account
You may ask for your account to be closed at any time (see data deletion). We may close an account in case of serious breach of these terms.
Changes
These terms may be updated. The date of the last update is shown at the top of the page; users are informed of significant changes by notification or e-mail.
Governing law
These terms are governed by Moroccan law. In case of dispute, an amicable solution is sought first; failing that, the competent courts of Morocco have jurisdiction.
